The list of hazardous waste
Date: 27/06/2014

The waste is classified as hazardous waste when at least one of the following properties:

- Leave it (N): The waste in solid or liquid that we ourselves may explode as a result of chemical reactions (contact with flame, impact or friction was), created gases temperature, pressure and speed to cause damage to the surrounding environment.

- Flammable (C): Includes:

+ Waste flammable liquid: the liquids, mixtures of liquids or liquids containing solids or suspended flash point temperature not exceeding 550C.

+ Combustible solid wastes: solids are capable or willing to ignite ignition caused by friction in the transport conditions.

+ Waste capable of spontaneous combustion: the solid or liquid can heat up during normal conditions of transport, or to heating up in contact with air and potentially catch fire.

- Corrosion (AM): The waste through chemical reaction, will cause severe damage to living tissue on contact, or in case of leakage will destroy the materials, goods and vehicles transportation. Usually it is the substance or mixture of substances strongly acidic (pH less than or equal to 2), or strongly alkaline (pH greater than or equal to 12.5).

- Oxidation (OH): The waste is capable of rapid reaction performed strongly exothermic oxidation when exposed to other substances can cause or contribute to such substances burned.

- Causing infections (NT): The waste contains microorganisms or toxins are to be pathogenic for humans and animals. - Toxicity (D): Includes:

+ Acute: The waste can cause death, serious injury or damage to health through eating, breathing or through the skin.

+ Toxicity or chronic slowly: The waste can cause influences from chronic or even cause cancer, by eating right, inhaled or absorbed through the skin.

- There ecotoxicity (DS): The waste can cause immediate harm or from the environment, through bioaccumulation and / or harm to ecosystems.
